Bone Broth for Healthy Kids

Bone Broth contains collagen which helps reduce inflammation in the gut.  It can be used as a base for soups or bolognese as examples.  It's super nutritious and making it at home helps to avoid the high salt content found in store-bought varieties. 


Ingredients

1 to 3 chicken frames (bones) 
2 to 3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
 

Method

  1. Add the chicken bones to a slow cooker and add water to just cover the bones.
  2. Add 2 to 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (this helps the draw the nutrients from the bones).
  3. Cook overnight, strain and either freeze into ice-cube trays for easy portion sizes store in the for up to 4 days.
