Chocolate Chip Biscuits
Healthy Kids Snack
No child could resist these choc chip biscuits. They are brimming with deliciousness with the combination of almonds and chocolate.
Ingredients
1½ cups buckwheat flour
125gm butter, softened
½ cup maple syrup or honey
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 free-range egg
½ cup chocolate chips
Method
- Preheat oven to 160oC (320oF). Line a baking tray with baking paper
- In a large bowl, add the flour, baking powder and vanilla and stir until combined and set aside.
- Add the butter, and maple syrup to a bowl, using an electric mixer mix together until light and creamy. Then add the egg and mix to combine.
- Add the butter mixture and chocolate chips to the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
- Using a tablespoon as a measure, form into 12 ball and press down lightly. Place onto the baking tray and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Transfer to a wire rack to cool. Can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
