Nachos

Yummo - Great Healthy Kids Treat

Nachos are the perfect after school snack and kids love them.  You can make a big tray or individuals portions of these tasty and nutritious snack that is easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 230gm packet natural corn chips
  • 1 cup of mozzarella or cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 can kidney beans or left over Bolognese sauce
  • Mild tomato salsa
  • 1 small avocado, mashed

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Arrange corn chips in oven proof dish
  3. Cover corn chips with spoonful’s of toppings such as kidney beans, Bolognese, grated cheese
  4. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  5. To serve, spoon dollops of mashed avocado and sour cream (optional).

Cook time:  10 minutes
