White Bean Hummus

Healthy Kids Recipe - Yummo

Silky and smooth, this white bean hummus is easy to make at home.  White beans are a nutritional powerhouse as they are packed with fibre and protein and several key vitamins and minerals.  Hummus is the perfect condiment for dipping, scooping and spreading.

Ingredients

  • 1 400g can cannellini or butter beans
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • ½ lemon, zest and juice

Method

  1. Place all the ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Makes:  1¼ cups
  • Prep time:  5 minutes
  • Freeze:  Yes
